Chip replacement question...

I tried sending an email to service (at) leonpaulusa dot com but it was returned to me as undeliverable. Ergo, question option B:

The Goucher Fencing Club bought a 3-weapon club recorder(Reference C620) a few years ago and I was wondering what the policy was with regards to updating the firmware to reflect the FIE timing changes.
The club is preparing to petition for next year's budget and any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Also, for technical purposes here's the error message that came with the return:

I am sure you did not put LeonPaulUSA dot com, but LeonPaulUSA.com. What e-mail address did you use. You need to have xxxx@leonpaulusa.com, where xxxx is the person at Leon Paul USA you are trying to contact.
For what you have stated you should have contacted service@LeonPaulUSA.com.

Without typing you could click on the Leon Paul USA logo at the top and then go to contact and click there. You could also contact Barry Paul directly using the Member list or e-mail to service@LeonPaul.com.

as an aside: the reason why he didn't write the literal email address like the last two people have is because spam bots tend to traverse these forums and send mass emails to any valid email addresses that it finds. by splitting up addresses into unorthodox and random yet obvious formats, we can communicate the addresses without the spam overlords smiting our inboxes. try to follow bokken's lead and not place full addresses out in the open like this eh?

Of course the error message which he included DID have the email address in standard format, which completely nullified his attempts at not presenting it in his message. And also clearly answers DHC's question about what was the actual address he attempted to send mail.

In answer to your question. Unless the appartus is the latest generation of not more than 18 months old F.I.E. microprocessor the apparatus or the board has to be returned to Leon Paul London for component changing. You can tell if the apparatus is microprocessor by seeing if the wepon change is indicated by coloured led and the extra yellow led showing earth leakage.

edit: Saw Barry's answered already, but I have the details if needed. - Craig

Email server choked and I'm working on the issue. "sales at lpusa" works just fine.

I've got a document on my other machine that details what LP will do for upgrades depending on the box you have, how old it is, etc.

Given the recent letters to the FIE by both the German and Italian federations, I would hold off on "upgrading" to the new timings just yet. There's a very good chance that you'll just have to turn around and "upgrade" again when "timing service pack 2" is voted in.

Email me at sales @ leonpaulusa.com or just PM me here and I'll get the info over to you.

Sorry about the email mix-up.

Craig

Oh, *%^_@*(#!
That's what I get for not paying complete attention. Oh well.

Thanks to everyone for their responses. I will check with the club officers and get in touch with you, Craig.
