| Duellist Clothing Howdy! I have a question (several, actually) to pose to all those people who may have tried Duellist FIE jackets and plastrons before.
Question 1 (the short one): How stretchy are they? Is the Duellist FIE jacket's material all stretchy or does the jacket have stretchy and non-stretchy portions (more importantly, is the material actually noticeably flexible or is it only semi-stretchy)?
Question 2 (the long one): Weight lifting and poor eating have given me a meaty set of chest and shoulders covered with a protective layer of flab. I'm also rather short. According the height portion of Duellist measurements I should be wearing a size 38 jacket (definitely not happening), but according to the chest portion I should be wearing a 52 size jacket. Big difference! Incomplete sentence! Harr!
My worry is if I buy the 52 jacket the uniform will be too long and too wide at the bottom to fit comfortably (although I've read that Duellist's jackets have a reasonable taper).
Should I go ahead and buy the big-sized jacket or can I get away with something a tad smaller (at the risk of compressing my generous shoulders)?
Hrm, I don't suppose Duellist USA makes custom jobs...
Any help would be very much appreciated.

-Da Mose | Your best bet would be to contact duellist and ask. They can probably get you a custom cut jacket, but it may cost you. Most manufacturers will custom cut a uniform, and your best bet it to talk with them personally. |

| I`ve just bought a complete Duellist FIE kit, and yes it is noticable stretchy. Holding 10 cm of garment between my thumbs, it will stretch to 12 cm (science!). I would call it noticable, yes. Your question on sizes i cannot answer. I have size 48 (US) jacket, and size 42 (US) breeches. |

| I've already ordered a Duellist jacket and plastron (FIE). The length and stomach width turned out to be a non-problem with me. The length is fine and the jacket has a good, slight taper. The shoulders are still a little narrow for me, however, but not so tight that they cause postural problems.
