| It will be warm but I bet the level of the event and the quality that it is being ran as will be worth the heat and the trip. |

| Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone out there complaining about 90+ degree heat realize that in Sacramento (i.e. Summer Nationals 2005) the tv newscasters joke about bringing out the sweaters whenever it drops BELOW 100 during the summer?
And yes, it is a DRY heat |

| They held Nationals in Phoenix once. It was probably over 115 at that time of the year. You could watch people coming out of the air-conditioned hotel wilt visibly just in the time it took them to cross the street and enter the air-conditioned convention center. I imagine the lobby to Hell sees much the same expressions of disbelief and utterances of dismay...
Be of good cheer, it'll be nowhere near that bad in May. Especially if the wet year they've had thus far continues. |

| I was at that National and there was an open area between the host hotel and the convention center. It was covered with a nylon cover and it was cool. I am talking tempeture. What they did was amazing. In the middle was what looked like a 4 sided fireplace made out of cardboard or something similar. At the top of the smokestack was a hose that sprayed a small mist of water. The cool air that came out made it very nice, even in the middle of the day.

| Yes, those are very clever, aren't they? A lot of shops, bars and restaurants have them now---anyplace with an outdoor venue. You can actually get quite chilled sitting in one even on a hot night...
They even make personal systems: basically a pump-operated pressurized water bottle with a hose-mounted misting nozzle. |

| WOW you don't see a B1 in sabre very often. I am impressed. I hope the turn out for the Crown here in Amarillo is as big. |

| I've been drafted!!! It seems I will be attending as an "Assistant Armorer". I think that means I get to go get the real armorers coffee when they need some. Anyway, not sure if I will be there Saturday, but Sunday for sure. So I guess we will finally meet DHCJr!

'Sides, I hear Inquartata lives in L.A. and is often refered to as 'junior.' |
