Fencing Clubs In Budapest?

Can any one tell me about clubs in Budapest for fencing?

A friend will be back there, home, in March, April or May and wants to take up sabre again. He needs a club. He is thirty yrs old.

The only club I know in Budapest is the MTK which I belive is one of the major clubs there, the MTK should be known by most people in Budapest so just ask any taxi driver. Most clubs will be very welcoming as you will be bringing in Western cash and those Hungarian coachs really know how to bring in the cash

Daniel Botji coached here (California) last season (2003-2004) as an assistant to Marcos Lucchetti and I could recommend him. He returned to Budapest last September and is coaching there now. He speaks English very well. I don't like giving out other people's e-mails in public forums so I will send him a note to take a look at this website and perhaps he can weigh in.

Dani is at our club - though, MTK is not into saber. I'm the only one to do saber there, but our epée and foil teams are strong.

For sabre, Honved and Vasas are pretty strong.
Honved's all of 2 mins walk from a metro station: not sure where Vasas is except that it's in Buda rather than Pest.

Yeah, Vasas is at Buda. It's quite difficult to reach (at least for me, Pest-girl).
Also UTE is strong (especially in WS) - they're very near to a metro station - 10 mins walk or 2 short stops by tram (No. 4 or 6)
