Where are the threads on fencing these days?

Where are the threads on fencing these days.
It's been ages since I've seen anything on
rec.sport.fencing. Other than spam

Has everyone gone somewhere else?

J.

I think a lot of the action is on the fencing.net web forum, but my
connection is too slow and my life is too short to spend much time over
there. So, got something you want to talk about? Did you go to
Richmond?

Hi Dirk,

I really enjoyed our DE in the Vets Epee in Richmond.

Regards,
Chris

Hi, Chris. I did, too. In fact, one of the great pleasures in Richmond
was meeting and fencing several people I had only known previously from
the newsgroup.

Fencing.net? I think I saw a "My Coach Can Beat Up Your Coach" thread there
recently.

Or maybe people are too busy because they are working? Naw, that can't be it.

Any discussion forum will have its stupid threads, but there's a lot
more discussion of fencing there than there is here.

Nah, didn't make it to Richmond. All my past experiences
indicate that I do terrible in Dec. and have to make it
up in the 2nd NAC and the summer nationals. That and I'm
working a contract which ends at the end of January and
I need to spend as much time there as I can. Did notice that
not attending Richmond didn't affect my national ranking.
Not sure what that implies. ?All the other vet60 epeeists
have similar problems? Go figure.

Guess I'll go and check out the other fencing forums.
Just that I'm a traditionalist for the net news.
Best to all of you.
Jonathan
