What is Tip Tape?

Hi,

What is tip tape generically called, i.e. I suppose tip tape is just one of
the many types to tape found in hardware stores and would like to know what
is it more commonly called. I'm hoping I can buy a roll at the hardware
store and save a few bucks.

Thanks.

So did I but I don't anymore. It really doesn't hold up well. With wear it can
loosen and slip.

I was fortunate to be able to visit Science and surplus (?) in West Chicago
where I picked up a 3/4 inch roll of tape for 89 cents which I have been using
for five years.

Re: What is Tip Tape?

"Duct Tape" is another common name,
or possibly "Gaffer tape",
or generically "Cloth Tape".

I guess it depends what country you are in.

Well, they call it "Isolierband" or "Textilband" here :-)

Does http://tinyurl.com/6hsu9 show what you mean (it is an Allstar
page calling it "insulating tape").

Tschö,

Why anymore?

I do not lie about you, you lie about me that I am a, not the most
prolific filer of lawsuits without reporting that others filed so many
more requests, and many of the agencies did not have any backlog in
processing foia requests, and B, that they either doctored a photo of
me or used the worst shot of a hundred to give me a look that would
fit in the hostile article about me, to defame me, abuse my image and
to ridicule me.

There are a couple of possibilities. When I was fencing in college we
used white medical tape--the kind you use to tape gauze pads on
scraped knees. Nowadays I usually use duct tape, but it has the
annoying habit of wearing out after a few months and neding to be
replaced. I know some folks who use gaffer tape, which is similar to
duct tape but stronger, but is harder to find--try a theatrical supply
outlet.
