What happened to Santelli???

Santelli's website was up two days ago and is down now, and their phone
# is disconnected. Anybody know what's going on?

And does anyone have another U.S. distributor for Leon Paul?

From their web-site: "Due to an emergency, Santelli is temporarily
unable to take your orders.
Recently submitted orders will be delayed and may be partially filled or
can be cancelled. For details on your order please email
gsantelli@aol.com <mailto:gsantelli@aol.com>."

Re: What happened to Santelli???

I won't go into detail, but I have had some very odd responses from them of
late, not only to an order I placed, but also to some follow-up questions I
tried to ask them.

Re: What happened to Santelli???

I have had a backorder in at Santelli for over four months now - a Leon
Paul leather sabre grip. It was left out of a previous order and never
filled - after one reply to my concerns, all of my future letters went
unanswered. Whatever problems they are currently having started a while
ago.

I, too, am also looking for a North American supplier of Leon Paul
equipment - or, for that matter, and LEATHER SABRE grips that ARE NOT
NEON-COLORED. If anyone knows of a good website that sells such things,
please post the address.

Just go to Leon Paul direct-- www.leonpaul.com. They take online orders
from the US, and ship transatlantic at reasonable rates. The savings in
purchase price more than make up for the shipping, and they're service
is very good. I've recieved all the orders I've placed in typically
about 1 week.

I think you must have better luck than me. I like the
Leon Paul epee's and they've been a problem to get her in
the states. And trying to get a response out of Leon Paul
was a no-go last year. My impression - non-scientific and
based on just a couple of incidents - is that Brit online
companies don't pay much attention to e-mail and net orders.
But they take real good care of you if you drop in to their
shop.

You mean the one with that funny "dial" thing on it instead of buttons?

Leon Paul has just opened a site serving the United States and Canada,
in partnership with fencing.net. The URL is:

http://www.leonpaulusa.com/

Re: What happened to Santelli???

You've obviously not ordered from them lately-- since they revamped
their website late last year they're even easier to order direct from
than Fechtsport-Langenkamp. There is also a direct US online
distribuitorship that just opened up last week: www.leonpaulusa.com.
