#1 | | Guest | Greatest ? Who do you think was the greatest fencer of all the time? It is an always a
strong argument in boxing to who were the best, but ive never seen such a
debate in fencing. Ill take it as an opportunity to know more fencers.
Golubitsky is a name that come in mind for one of the greatest foil fencer
ever. If we are speaking of a more classical name, I would remind the story
I heard about Jean-Louis. And what if we do compare them, who would win the
sport match? Who would survive a duel? I think it would be interesting
giving them a year of trainning for it. Could be a fantasy worth look on how
we can compare to our ancestor who relied on the sword for their lives. | |

Savinien Cyrano de Bergerac.
Fought over a thousand duels and won them all.
Dead at 36...
He also wrote a couple of decent satirical science fiction books.
Ignore the play, it's Victorian romantic rubbish...

First, it was Inigo, not Indigo.
Second, Wesley *beat* Inigo in the first scene with the Dread Pirate
Roberts.

is important. Sometimes the winner is not always the better fencer.

Wonderfully entertaining Victorian Romantic rubbish. (And hey - I like
romantic rubbish! Would I be a fencer otherwise?)

Yes. That would have been a wonderful fight. Much feathers would have
