Fencing trainer wanted in Gotland, Sweden

Wanted – Fencing Trainer

The Swedish fencing club, Roma Fencing Society was founded in 1996 by
former Swedish national team fencer Kenneth Täckenström. The club is
primarily working with foil fencing and sword fighting. We have the
ambition to build a sabre fencing section. We have 140 members in the
club with 60 active members between 7 – 50 years old. Roma Fencing
Society is co-working with the Athene School where all students are
given fencing training. The Athene School will have approximately 205
students by the upcoming autumn.

Roma Fencing Society and the Athene School are situated in Gotland in
the middle of the Baltic Sea. Gotland has about 60 000 inhabitants but
is visited during the summer by hundreds of thousands of tourists.

The appointment as fencing trainer at Roma Fencing Society contains a
two-side job: partly as a fencing trainer at Roma Fencing Society and
partly as a fencing teacher at the Athene School. It is a full time
appointment and possession is taken in the beginning of August.

Our wish-list:
• Applicants must be ready to stay for at least three years.
• Have thorough knowledge in English. ( if knowledge in Swedish is
lacking. )
• Competence to teach élite level foil fencing and sword fencing and
sabre fencing for beginners.
• An extra plus is experience from theatre fencing.
• Experience from and interest to train anyone from six year old
beginners to adult élite fencers.
• Drivers license and access to a car.
