US Summer National

Approx six weeks out. Does anyone on this
list know the area and have any suggestions
for moderate priced accommodations convenient
to the venue? And yes I'm looking at the
host hotel but usually their price is 2-3
times the local rate.

P.S. Delta has been having some real good
deals, $165, on round-trip flights from the
west coast though I hear they're going up.

There are a couple of small hotels across the street on Independence,
but certainly not enough to handle a couple of thousand fencers and
families. Best to stay with the host hotel.

Geeze this list is sooo quite that
here I am answering my own post because
no one else seemed to know the answer.
The venue is Charlotte's Merchant's Mart
at 2500 E. Independence.

Directly across the street at 2701 E. Independence
is Master's Inn. Rooms there are approx $35.00/night
for a single, as opposed to $91 at the host hotel
which is several miles and a shuttle bus ride away.

Maybe someone else on the list can use the info.
