looking for fencing camps I am trying to find a fencing camp where I will be taught by a master
in a group, every day for an entire month - probably the month of
September.
I am 31 years old and only began learning to fence with a sabre two
months ago.
Does anyone have any advice on where I might look for such a course or
who I might contact - I live in Britain but am happy to travel
whereever I can find such a course.
Any advice you can give me would be most gratefully received.
Many thanks

You could try Italy. I have no idea of the cost, but you should be able
to go into one of the fulltime salles in Rome and fence as much as you
want to. Not a camp as such, just plenty of masters on tap.
My fencing master did 9 months full time at http://www.accademiagreco.it/ing/accademia_ing.htm some years ago now,
when Maestro Enzo was still running it. It concentrates on kids in the
website, but I expect it still does adults as well.
There are plenty of others, and I expect similar things in France.

Most camps in the USA are in the summer when kids are out of school. There is
probably not a single camp that runs that long. The USFA fencing website will
list summer camps squirelled away as part of the Newsletter which is now part
of the American fencing magazine. You could sign up for successive camps
without too much travelling around. Let me know if you want advice on which
ones I would recommend for Sabre.

Too bad you waited so long but I am glad you are showing so much intelligence
as to pick Sabre.

There is also an excellent one week camp in Szombethely, Hungary, in
mid-August. It is run be Maitre Solti.
