Question on USA knicker logo

As I understand it, at levels above local fencing, you need to have your
name on the back of your jacket or lame. Then I read that you also need to
have your country ID and country strip/logo on your knicker. Where in the
USFA rule book is this bit about displaying the country and color strip?
Also, just curious but what is the color (s) strip for the US and is there a
picture of the logo on the web? Thanks.

You don't need to worry about the USA logo or country ID. They are
only needed for international competitions such as World Cups. It's a
blue & red starburst design. (See
http://www.dmturner.org/Pictures/USA-logo.gif for a rough idea).

Even the name on the uniform isn't required for local and regional
tournaments. Some of the vendors who sell uniforms in the US do
stencilling of names, countries, and country design on your uniform,
and Marx Enterprises does it at national tournaments.

Again, don't worry about it. There's nothing to stop you from putting
the country logo on your uniform, but nothing requires it.

Re: Question on USA knicker logo

Thanks. Saves me from some unneeded fencing expenses.
