Due to the developing weather situation, the decision was made to cancel the
Charm City Classic this weekend. We will attempt to reschedule the tournament
in the spring.

to have it, and end up having lousy attendance because hardly anybody
dared drive to it (or, even worse, have some fencers get into accidents
due to the weather).

We feel that way, too. The decision to cancel -- and one never knows what the
situation will be tomorrow morning -- was based in part on the fact that JHU is
closed today, and we had been unable to learn whether or not they would be open
tomorrow, and didn't want to wait till 8 a.m. tomorrow to find out.
And also on the current forecast, as of mid-Friday afternoon. The wind -- mixed
with the snow -- was the clincher.
