| fenfool.com back where it belongs, plus new stuff Sorry to bug all again, but right after I posted the message about fenfool.tripod.com's redesign, I got the great news that the jerks who kidnapped my old domain name, fenfool.com, had finally decided that nobody was buying it & let it go. So I snatched it back, and it once again works, as does fenfool.tripod.com (both point to the same site). So to celebrate, I splurged to have the pop-ups removed, and added some content...also checked all the links for accuracy, all seem to work as of today (there are LOTS of links...go check 'em out!). Put up a nifty random site button that draws from more than 85 fencing sites (& growing), kind of neat for discovering new sites. Also have up or links to all NCAA, Olympic & US fencing champions...equipment vendors from around the world...and a fencing trivia page! Tough questions that I bet most don't know the answers to (at least not offhand)...my hope is to help spread the history of our sport a bit. Most kids have thoughts on who the greatest baseball player ever was, or the best quarterback, but ask a young fencer who the greatest US epee fencer was, they likely won't know names like Norman Lewis, Leo Nunes or Paul Karoly Pethy...heck, I've been doing this for 16 years and I barely know these names! Hopefully we can start educating people a little bit (I'd like to educate myself some more, too!).
Anyway, I've got the events calendar going (NY State Championships & the Friday Fights/Saturday Slashin' Epee competition in Louisiana are on tap for this weekend), and a competition recap of the Summer Epee at BCAF this past Sunday (if anyone has a competition recap they'd like posted, please send it to me & I'll get it posted ASAP).
Thanks for indulging, see y'all on the piste!
