Hey guys, just to let those who were fans of my fenfool.com site know, I
have done a complete redesign & update on the site, now located at
http://fenfool.tripod.com . I've nearly completed my NCAA historical
results list...for some reason, 88 & 89 continue to elude me, but I'll get
'em...I have my list of college teams & clubs, fencing links, fenlibs,
crossword puzzle & a brand new competition tracker, where you all can go and
add any upcoming competition for everyone to see, including a link to
announcement websites and whatever other info you'd like...all submissions
are added instantly. The goal is really to put out a list of 'major'
competitions not on the national schedule...things like Duel in the Desert,
the Cherry Blossom Open, the Pomme de Terre, the Turkey Shoot, any big
competition that will draw a lot of fencers (and smaller ones hoping to draw
more) in the hopes that maybe someone traveling will have the opportunity to
fence someplace new, or a lesser-rated fencer gets to enter a higher-level
competition to see how the big guys do it (this is becoming a more important
opportunity as the requirements for NACs are growing to B and above); in the
context of a fun tournament without the high stakes of an NAC or National
Championship. Please feel free to add your competition to the list (I do
reserve the right to edit or remove inaccurate or inappropriate postings,
though hopefully we won't get any of those) or just check it out. Only a
BCAF summer open & the Tractor Pull in Baltimore on there right now, both
should be fun though.
Sorry about the pop-ups on the site, I rely on a free server...pop-up
