Array Hi Geordie,
Thank you for posting such a beautifully crafted highlight video.Do you have plans to sell a full-length video of the match between Canada and Hungary? If so,you can certainly count on me to purchase a copy.
I have been an admirer of Sherraine's fencing talent,as well as her strength of character and intelligence, for some time now,and I can't tell you how wonderful it was to discover that my fencing hero, the great Gyozo Kulcsar, would be coaching her.I feel that theirs will be a fruitful collaboration,as Sherraine's combination of a brilliantly elegant fencing style, fierce intelligence, and extraordinary athleticism reminds me of Gyozo's own style of fencing in the 60s and 70s.
In conclusion,I would like to express my best wishes for a great season and a wonderful life,to you, your wife Sherraine, and Gyozo.
Kind Regards,
Brett R. -
Hi Brett,
Wow! Thanks so much for the kind words. You know, everyday that goes by further convinces me that moving to Budapest was a very wise decision for us. I know that Sherraine would be baffled and most likely laugh it off to hear that her fencing style reminds someone of Gyozo at the height of his incredible career. You should see the way this man floats while dancing on the piste even today.
As for a video for sale, I don't know how the logistics would go in doing such a thing. The footage from the hightlight reel I put together is actually a compilation of 2 other Team Canada family members videos that they edited to different music. The full length version I have of the match is overall choppy and unfortunately misses some important parts because I was a little excitable that day as you can well imagine. I do however plan on improving my camera skills before World Championships this year so hopefully there will be some special moments caught on film which could possible be sold. I'll look into it.
Lastly, since you enjoy Sherraine's intelligence. You might want to follow the Canada Reads program on CBC starting this Monday, February 21st. You can listen to it live on CBC's audio page and possibly view it on their Newsworld station online.
Here is a Preview Special on the program if you wish to catch a glipse.
Thanks again for being such an inspiring person!
Hope this finds you well.
Sincerely,
Geordie MacKay

Array Darn it - got here too late to see it. I was able to see the bronze medal match they lost to France on the tv, but would have liked to see the match they won to get there as well. -
Canada got revenge on France! Just thought I'd let you know that the girls got their revenge on France at the Wurth Cup team event in Germany with a 45-44 come from behind win!
GO CANADA GO!!!
