New epee scoring opportunities!

Double-strip epee is a blast. It's a hoot to fence with a buddy by your side. If you haven't tried it yet, definitely seek out the opportunity.

Here are a few other options sure to boost tactical complexity (and so-called armchair strategizing by spectators):

1. Toe touches and non-weapon hand touches are scored as 2 points.
2. Touches scored while either fencer is in a warning zone at the end of the strip are worth double points.

Any other developments you've been testing, just for fun?

How about getting tying a 8 foot rope to each fencers unarmed wrist and letting them go at it gladiator style.

would it work to have epee... where there was a 0.5 second delay between when you could score each point, and there were no breaks beyond the points, and the machine kept track of the points, and you just fought for 3 minutes, and the guy with the most points in the end wins.
