They are not made to support your feet during high athletic activity. Most driving shoes are little more than deck shoes with bright colored surounds. No real arch or impact support, very little ankle support, ect. They are made to keep you somewhat comfy on long drives and to fit in the footwells of small cars better that most shoes and to help with driving tricks such as heel/toe ect. You would most likely be wasting your money. For less than the price of most of them you can get decent fencing shoes like the La Nings from the Fencing Post.
Just another lost soul saved by the (hit) First Church of EPEE!
That and they're supposed to make you feel and grip the pedals better as well as being fire retardent. Don't think any of those are attributes that make for good fencing footwork.
I tried and used the Puma driving shoes for a while. Worked for a very brief while until the sides got too loose. Couldn't handle all the fast changes in directions.
Too bad someone doesn't start a fencing shoe company on the same premise, there was a need and they wanted to fill it. Many thousands of dollars needed however.
They are nice looking shoes!
A friend will bail you out of jail,
