Array Catal,
I'm not a big fan of SPAM but, let's face it, it's better than the "Work from home and make a bijillion dollars a day", "Creatine", or "This little boy is dying and e-mail will cure him" garbage that floods inboxes the world over.
It's kind of targeted, and although you may not like the Blade/PC/AllstarUSA/FenceSmart consortium, you would be an appropriate target market, as would any of us on this board.
Tell them you don't want to get their mailings any more and be done with it.

Bad idea to let spammers know that your e-mail address works, the recommended action is never to respond to spam. That or, track the spam back to their server and report them to a Spam WatchDog company. To not recognize the power of the propane torch is to be in denial. -

That's true but they already know you got it. You think that they don't read this board?
Either way, I would suspect they got your e-mail from the USFA or Usenet (assuming you post to RSF and don't use an anonymizer).
My point is that I doubt this is the only piece of Spam that you've ever received and they may have even gotten you e-mail address by approved means.
Didn't you already get a ton of postcards from them after your annual membership renewal?

Array I just delete spam unread. I don't have the extra time and energy to fire off "unsubscribe" notes. "Arm yourself, Watson, there is an evil hand afoot ahead." -- Dennis Pierce, 2010 Bulwer-Lytton contest, detective fiction category runner-up. -

They know SOMEBODY got it. They don't know I got it. So far as they are concerned, they got an e-mail without a name. I know how they got my e-mail address, but that wasn't my original question. Has anyone gotten spammed by these imps?
That, was my original question. To not recognize the power of the propane torch is to be in denial. -
Not me (yet), and I'm pretty accessible as far as e-mail goes.

Array I just got in the mail (as coach for my little club) a folder with price list and other promotional materials. They're going all out.
I'm still gonna buy from Blue Gauntlet because they know me and help me out and won't let me buy anything I shouldn't. "Arm yourself, Watson, there is an evil hand afoot ahead." -- Dennis Pierce, 2010 Bulwer-Lytton contest, detective fiction category runner-up. -
Yeah, Blue Gauntlet is pretty good about letting you know what you're getting, and verifying that it's legal (or not) for competition. To not recognize the power of the propane torch is to be in denial. -

Array hehe.. i hate to tell you.. but that wasn't "spam"..
that was marketing.. If you'll notice who sent it..
they are just doing the job that they have been given.. (or have taken.) but unless it's more then 3 email's daily i'd say that its not "spam" just getting they're name out there.
and for spam collecting get a hotmail account.. hehe.. you don't want to see what i get on MY hotmail account.. and how many.. on a "Good" day i get about 60 + "spam" messages a day...
this is a good explanation of what spam really is.. Click<a href="http://ars.userfriendly.org/cartoons/?id=20001105&mode=classic" target="_blank">here</a> if you want to see it.. (it's a cartoon)

Array Getting SPAM sucks, I agree. However, it's worse when you get hit with viruses. I keep getting hit with the @32Klez.E@mm virus. Sorry to digress, but no, haven't received that one yet. I get enough junk as it is. Similar Threads -
