    Newbie form New Hampshah

    Hey everyone, my name is Will. I'm 19 years old in college at UNH, majoring in Marine Biology. I have been fencing for nearly 8 years now, the first few years being at The Fencing Center in Palo Alto, CA then after moving to Vermont with my family I joined the Vermont Fencing Alliance, now the Green Mountain Division (woot!), and started doing tournaments competitively. 5 years later I went to college at Oswego State and found the fencing club to be non-existant. So I stopped fencing for a year and transferred in the spring of '05 to University of New Hampshire where I hope to take up fencing again, if not competitively then just for fun. In addition to that I suffered a severe growth spurt during my first year of college and grew 4 inches (is that normal?) and consequently do not have any equipment until I decide to stop being poor, which probably won't be happening anytime soon. Sooooo...I get to fence in tennis shoes..

    As to my personal details, I'm straight, disease free, don't do drugs, drink occasionally, and am living with my grandparents while I go to school. I play classical, metal and folk guitar. I play everquest 2 also under the name: Stefano. I also do Jujutsu and UFC style grappling, I also watch a lot of movies and love hiking, canoeing, sailing, culture, and reading everything!!!!! I also am interested in Japanese animation, popular science, the tv show modern marvels, iron chef , adult swim, space travel, quantum mechanics, black holes, computer programming, military technology, bird watching, boogie boarding , surfing, shell collecting and any competitive sport. Just joined this forum to talk about fencing though. BTW I'm left handed so all you rightys better watch your back, leftys are gonna rule the world! Anyways, pleased to meet everyone here, I hope I start many arguments that I can't finish !

    No foolin! I started epee 1 year after I moved actually, and haven't stopped since.. kinda eerie that you know that...must be psychic or somethin....
