That's the passage, and thanks. It dovetails with his other discussions of
the stringimento.
As for advising blade contact, it's done in the actual attack of the
adversary's person (not in the gaining or stringimento), with exception
being made in the case of the beat , "where his blade is understood to be i=
n
my domination".
I like Jherek and Bill's translation, but I must admit I take exception to
the use of "stringering", which derives from an archaic English usage.
