| Inox lame care Just acquired a brand new allstar Inox foil lame. I transport it wrapped in a big towel (so the lame doesnt rub), and hang it up in my warddrobe away from evil sweaty whites/blades.
Just looking for washing tips/links/tips in general, thanks.

| What kind of shops sell woolite and windex?
Also, does it matter if my lame is folded in half when in my bag? The left is folded over to the right, not top to bottom. However, its inside the towel, so the lame doesnt rub, but is the folding bad for it?

| I don't think you should keep it wrapped in a towel. I towel will help absorb moisture and keep it trapped next to the lame. |

Woolite is a very mild detergent used to wash wool garments and other "delicate" items. Windex is a window/glass cleaning spray with a bit of ammonia in it. It is the ammonia that you want (to dissolve and neutralize the salts), not the glass cleaning properties. I am sure that you have your own brands that are similar and will work just as well.

I wouldn't EVER fold the lame...you might break the metal fibers and crfeate a dead spot...rollit up if you can't lay it flat. |

| Basically, any kind of mild laundry soap or detergent, and a bit of ammonia are what you want to use for washing it. Rolling it up in a towel for transport and storing it on a hanger are good things. Lames do ship folded from the factory, so it's not the end of the world if you have to fold it for packing, but you want to avoid strongly creasing the fabric. The most important thing is to try not to leave it wadded up and sweat-soaked in your bag- put it on a hanger as soon as your home or back to your hotel room.
