Array I like how the gunmen keep pace with the swordman even though they're legs don't appear to be moving. Fleche!! Fleche for fantasy.

Array So the swordman is running forward in a constant frame; if the villains are stationary, in swordman's frame, you'd see the villain moving closer and closer to the swordman. Just like if you were to drive a car into a tree, it was the tree that ran into you, in your own reference frame Maybe, perhaps, likely, possibly, probably, potentially. -

Array Watch the game again...
The thing is that if the swordsman and the gunmen are both stationary, why would the background and foreground keep moving?
To use your example: If I'm driving towards a tree I looks like the tree is coming towards me. If I stop, the tree stops moving, the road beneath me shouldn't keep moving, neither should the background behind the tree. Fleche!! Fleche for fantasy.

Array The camera is moving at the same speed as the swordman. The foreground is dust blowing at the swordman. So it is actually moving in the opposite direction. So if the cowboys were stationary, the foreground would still be moving. Also, I never said the swordman is stationary, only the cowboys( it would also work if the cowboys were moving really really slowly). Maybe, perhaps, likely, possibly, probably, potentially. -
