Looking for good training opportunities

I am looking for fencing seminars, camps, or intensive training courses for adults, maybe similar to Brandeis and Penn State's programs for high school students. Eastern U.S. would be ideal but I am interested in information on any camps.

Thanks!

Maybe one of the USFA coaches clinics would meet what you're looking for?

They are great, but not what I am looking for. I need to improve my own fencing. The coaches clinics do that somewhat, but the focus is on, naturally, coaching.

Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Something like the Solti/Szabo training in Hungary, but in North America, would be good.

Have you tried contacting a coach/club that you'd be interested in working with? Maybe you can join them for a week or so of intensive private lessons, bouting, watching other lessons, etc. In other words, make up your own camp. I'm not sure that you'd find a place to do this before Summer Nationals but many fencers take a short break in July and the coaches might appreciate the extra $$$.

After Nationals Brown has a fencing camp. pdf
It sounds like what you're looking for.

I looked at the thing on brown, but it seems geared as a place to bump kids while the folks go off on a vacation. Anyone know of anything (preferable epee based) for the not quite beginner C-ish level fencers?

Anyone here have experience with or comments on this camp?

The camp is mostly students under 18--every camp is, given that most adults work. Your best bet is just to ask around (I know at some point in the spring the usfa lists all the different summer camps) and see which ones allow adults, and which one would be the best environment for you.
