RE: [CFML] Rapier blades.

In Triplett's new "Zen Warrior Armory" catalog, in addition to the schlager
and double wide epee blades, they also offer a blade they call the
"Triplette Rapier Blade" which comes in 35" & 40". They claim, " We offer
our rapier blades as the most historically accurate fighting blade availabl=
e
at any price. Those who wish to accurately recreate the rigors and tactics
of 16th century rapier fighting will appreciate the balance and resilience
of these fine pieces. They are precisely modeled from museum samples, hot
forged in high silicon steel, and tempered in state of the art ovens to giv=
e
unparalleled performance on stage or on the battlefield." In their
description of their Schlager blades they also add, "Yes, one will lose som=
e
historical accuracy to the Triplette Rapier Blade, but the (schlager)
durability is equal (to the Triplette Rapier Blade) ..."

They used to offer a blade called the Zamorano Blade. I just spoke with
Walter Triplette on the phone and he said they no longer offer it, because
it was a poor quality blade in comparison to the Triplette Rapier Blade,
because it wasn=92t oven tempered. He said the Triplette Rapier Blade is
identical to the historical rapier blades except that they are a little
lighter due to the slight flex he gave them for safety.

Do any of you have any experience with the Triplette Rapier Blade.

Blessings,
Rez Johnson
