Array RPG Maker Team Alright, using rm2k3, I'm programming an RPG. And no, its not based on the characters of f101.
The software, if you're interested, can be downloaded here- http://rpgmaker.thaiware.com/downloa...3109aefull.exe
it is suitable for building RPG's similar to final fantasy's 1-6, Chrono Trigger, and Lufia. If you know what these games are, then you're prolly the kinda person I'm looking for.
I'm looking to put together a small team of people for inspiration, resource gathering, midi composition, plot devolopment, character scripting and all sorts of crap.
I have the rm2k3 coding skills to do all of the actual coding, but when it comes to storyline and stuff, a group of people makes it easier. Respond if you are interested. "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. And from this side only! The flight of a half-man, half-bird. Dinosaurs nuzzling their young in pastures where strip malls should be. Cookies on dowels. All those moment, lost in time. Gone, like eggs off a hooker's stomach. Time to die" -Phil Ken Sebben -

That's what I was thinking. Maybe an even cheaper, hardier version of the classic RPG-7? Freedom of speech makes it easier to spot the idiots. -

Array Who makes the RPG-7? Seems like every goat herder between Tripoli and Tibet has a collection of them. Whoever makes them must have quite the globetrotting sales force.
(I don't know why I think this, but for some reason I'm thinking it's a German company. Probably the similarity to the WWII German bazooka thing.) Just because you have the right, that doesn't mean it is right. -

Array German? I think it's a russian model. Been around since 'Nam. Like all good russian weapons, they are EVERYWHERE . (AK47 ring a bell? AKMS, AK74 maybe?)
You're thinking of the panzerfaust(an RPG basically, looked like a stick with a big flower bulb on the end) or the panzershreck(a copy of a bazooka, but more powerful). I am he

Array Yep, that's it. I was thinking of the Panzerfaust.
I'd bet you're right, and the factories in the Urals that churn out all the great, reliable, cheap Soviet weapons like the AK47 are making the RPG. (MIT's Technology Review this month has a good bio of Mr. Kalashnikov, and says you can get AK's for $10 each in Afghanistan now.)
Still, I have to wonder why DFP wants to design new ones. The current version is quite an elegant design already. Just because you have the right, that doesn't mean it is right. -

Array I'd love to help. And FYI, Lufia was a FANTASTIC game that never quite got the recognition it deserved. Similar Threads -
