| Web Bot Any chance Web Bot can learn from esskreemr's "News with a Point" series and post a digest of links once a day?
Or even not run given that esskreemr seems to do a better job?

| Agreed. That Web Bot is just annoying. It lacks heart... that and some of the articles aren't even about fencing... and it fills up too much space... and if I wanted an automated search, I could do it myself (or rather I could have something do it for me). |

| I can not but agree.
Perhaps it could be given its own sub-forum in 'Fencing Discussion'?

| Yes, it's a pain in it's current form. I'd rather have one post a day.

| As I posted elsewhere, I know it's on topic, but it sure feels like SPAM.

-B | I had been looking around for RSS feeds, but seeing as the bot only has the option of creating a new thread with each article it finds, I'm keeping it to only posting the new articles I set to go live at Fencing.Net's news areas.
Right now, it's not smart enough to run a digest and I'm not familiar enough with the code to get it to do that.

| Stop giving web bot such a hard time. I'm sure that everybody who has done a search for fencing understands the difficulties in properly filtering fencing news.
Most of the stories that come back from a search are about oak or barb wire, or perhaps the occassional theft ring discovered on Ebay.
I have the benefit of actively weeding out the detritus. It's something I don't mind doing because I figure that if a website is tracking hits to news stories about fencing and those stories get hits that are read (most sites track how long you were on a link) then they are more likely to include fencing in their news.

| It couldn't work for Bush. I'm assuming it works for free and at least ATTEMPTS to provide true and accurate information...
