Fencingsucks.com website...?

If you've clicked on the website's forum/posting section, is anyone else besides me mortified... petrified... stupified by the comments?! There is such hate spewing there!

I have trouble understanding the website. All I read are a bunch of insults directed towards our best fencing clubs, coaches, and international level fencers. Does anyone understand why these evil people do this?

Many seem to come from New York City, seeing how most criticizing posts are about the clubs there. More importantly, what if these fencingsucks posters decide to invade this much more sensible, thought provocative, and constructive forum board? They'll ruin us!

I checked it out a couple times, but it was so bad I never went back. That was a long time ago. Not much really to offer there. Too bad, could've been a fun site if executed better.

Did you read the disclaimer (in the 'legal' section)? It's meant to be all in fun. I didn't take a long look at the whole site but some of it was quite funny, maybe other parts are quite nasty, but people need to vent, I guess.

I think it's a stupid website. I've been there a couple times, but quickly lost interest when I realized it's community consisted of people bashing other people. A shame, really, I have always thought of fencers as being such friendly people, especially in such a small sport.

I found it more amusing than anything... you know, where something starts funny, then gets irritating, then goes far enough to wrap back around to funny...

It's all funny and silly until people who didn't do anything get involved. Quite a few of my friends were discussed on that site, and they have never posted messages there. But if people enjoy throwing rude comments at each other, let 'em do it.

everyone's looked at fs.com at least once. i also know people who've been talked about on there. its where we want to avoid heading towards.

I don't understand this sense of humor....but then I'm not from the US and most names mean nothing to me.
Some of the things are funny though and I think their picture gallary isn't all that bad.
Didn't know this site existed.....until now...
Might make them happy, one more hit.

I have to admit the fencing in the soap opera by Dave Barry was so ridiculous it was funny!! I didn't get a chance to see the posts or anything there.

I'll read anything written by Dave Barry and get a good laugh out of it... some of the humor on the site is good, just not all the hateful comments that have been posted.
