Ok, I LOVE dancing, that is what I would choose. However, if someone delivered roses to my in such an extrordinary and brave fashion, I would be thrilled (and more than likely, CRY)! That is a sweet idea!

I'd like to go to a V-Day event.

You see, every year on and around Valentine's Day, there are presentations of the Vagina Monologues. It's a really important event, highlighting women's issues, including rape, abuse, and a variety of other issues....

I would be very impressed by a guy who was comfortable with seeing the Vagina Monologues with me....

It's "Singles Awareness Day"...an event which I will be unfortunately quite eligible for this year.

    very thoughtful

The idea of coming to her school and giving her flowers is awesome! She'll appreciate the effort! Plus, she might let you "just stay....home...and...do stuff" =)

Awwwww. That is so sweet! She should love it. It will embarrass her, but she'll love the attention.....
    That is sooo sweet.

I'd love to have a guy take me out dancing. Swing dancing, waltzing, tango, .... ah... I love dancing. But roses are very sweet too! Try making up a poem to go with it. Poetry and roses shows thoughtfulness, especially if the poem applies to her.

    ...no multiple choice poll?

But as Soldier pointed out it's "Singles Awareness Day". I'll be ever so happy if someone even noticed me on that day.

It's actually nice that this day exists. It makes it easy for the guys NOT to forget to pay a little attention to their partner at least once a year.

    No, kidding....
Roses, poem and a nice candle light dinner with a great enjoyable heavy red wine!

I had the perfect romantic dinner last night. He cooked dinner for me, put a Chopin cd in the stereo, we had a lovely Shiraz Cabernet with dinner, candles on the table....too bad he's not interested in women.

The only other thing that could have made it better would have been to go out dancing afterwards. I don't mean at a club where they play cheesy pop music, I mean Latin dancing or swing. Then we could have come back home for chocolate mousse and strawberries...

    I'm dreaming again....ooops.

    you mad me laugh....
But main thing is, you had this really nice dinner with a great ambiance and hopefully some good talks. In general, they're good company.

The chocalate and the strawberries after a night of dancing out. I have to keep that one in mind......

I let my wife vote for me (this is the way it sometimes happens in marriage, kids! ) and she said "dancing". I have to add that I often get roses for her anyway, and romantic dinners are not uncommon - this should have been multiple choice! Point is: find out what your SO (or 'hope becomes SO') likes. Also: don't wait for Valentine's Day - you don't need a Hallmark holiday for romance.

I think your fears are correct.
You'd get much more appreciation and joy if you bring the roses to the office and ask the administration to call her to the office to pick them up. Then she can walk back to class, through the halls with everyone ooohing and aaahing, in control of the roses.

Or bring the flowers in a vase and place the vase infront of or on top of her locker. She'll feel much better with this over a 'bust and run' approach.

Also, they dont HAVE to be roses. Pretty flowers (other than carnations) always do the trick.

I don't suppose you have a single brother who's got the same ideas?

    Just kidding!

Hey - there's a good point... what flowers are considered to be appropriate when expressing feelings to a sweetie?
