    New to site

    Good morning. I have been checking out this site as well as several other fencing sites for some time. I have held a keen interest in the sport for many years and always wanted to learn. While I am still young, I am confronted with the problem of a coach. There aren't any for at least two hours from me. So, saddened, I will watch from afar and dream of a time when I may have the chance. Meanwhile, I will research the subject as much as I can both for the future when I may actually find a coach and for the novel I have been working on for about three months. Until then, Arrivederci and La pace è con lei.

    Hi ya, welcome to fencing.net! What city are you located at in Indiana? I live in Indiana and i to had the problem of finding a fencing coach. It's not a very popular sport here but i hope that changes!

    If I knew enough I would. My husband and I have already discussed it ( he loves it too).
    I am in Stendal (Boonies), about an hour from Evansville. Where are you from Orange and did you find a coach? I'd be willing to drive an hour or so. Not much more, I am a full time student, wife, and mommy so I have obligations.

    Hey Arie-Nolan,

    I'm orange's sister in case you were wondering... Indiana is pretty dry for fencing, luckily we found a great coach. We live in Indianapolis so that might be awhile for you to drive.

    Gotcha, well i'm pretty far up from you guys i'm in Indianapolis. Luckily my coach just came over from Russia and he definatly knows what he is doing. Does Evansville have any fencing? They do need more clubs down there!

    No, I can't find ANY fencing clubs! I wonder how hard it would be to start one? At a low level... I' ve never even been in one. Are you in a club? Maybe I could come visit?

    We live in Southern Illinois, about 40 minutes from Evansville. My son has wanted learn fencing for 2 years and we haven't found anything close. If you learn of anything in Evansville i would love to hear about it.
