all my epees have the german style socket but lately i've been using the LP body cords and i really like them. because of the style of the LP plugs, the retainer clips don't fit. has anyone else had this happen?? is there a way to put another type of clip on there?? are the retainer clips even necessary??
It of course needs come sort of security device (M.5.3). What that device is can be many things. A solution is to remove that Uhlmann device and use a rubber band, tape or a strap. On the strap, make sure it does not have a metal snap.

... and don't forget that the electrical continuity through your weapon and bodywire (cord) is your responsibility - so make sure that you retain that plug in your guard socket as noted above!
