| Who's the coolest? Pool 3 Who's the coolest? I'm doing this in pools, with 100% into DE's.

| I think I also see a flaw with the poll presented in this thread.... :)

| As there is no poll, I am hijacking this thread. Any objections? Excellent.
I am changing the topic to: is 42 the whole meaning of life, the universe and everything? Is it possible that it was rounded down during the final stages of calculation? Is the real meaning, say, 42.17? We say the value of pi is 3.14, but this is not entirely accurate. It is actually 3.14159265.... Are we making an error in the value of life, the universe and everything, or is 42 an acceptable approximation?

But... since we're at 50, might as well round up to 100, right? So, might as well say that pi is 3, and life, the universe, and everything works out to 100.
Yeah, that looks a lot better.
Consider the thread hijacked. Nice job! |

| No, it's exactly 42.
The question is "What is 7 * 8?" and the answer is exactly 42.

| Why would it be rounded down at the final stages of calculation? Wouldn't it be rounded down at the end of calculation? Was it done on a calculator? Was the calculator environmentally friendly i.e. solar panel? Didn't some court in America make some sort of ruling on pi? What if some ancient human cave court made a ruling that 42.17 should be rounded down to 42?
But if you were to round 42 in terms of a 100, then it would be rounded down to 0. How would the meaning of life be zero? If you can't round it down to zero, then how can you round it down to 42 from 42.17? So in this case, perhaps it couldn't have been rounded down from 42.17. So is the meaning of life no. 42? I don't know. What have we gained from all this? |
