Hawaii Open...nice ticket prices from LAX

The Pacific Coast Section circuit event includes the Hawaii Open. As like last year, this event hands out some major bux. $1000 to the winners of the open foil and open epee. (See full details on their website: http://www.fencehawaii.org/pcshi.htm .)

I went online (gasp! I swore not to go online for purchases anymore) and got a nice deal from LAX to Hawaii on Hawaiian Airlines. Anyone interested from the LA area should take a look. My round trip from LAX is $324+ change. Ok, I have to return on Tuesday, Feb 26, and basically burn that day as far as returning to work. Oh well, like I can't take a day's rest in Hawaii. Even with the "extra" night's stay at the hotel, I'm still ahead of other airline rates. I went on Orbitz, Expedia, and whatever else and couldn't get anything less than $680 or thereabouts.

So, for $324 (ok, plus $80 for the round trip from San Jose to LAX), I have a chance at $2K. hehehe.

Anyone else want to take a stab at this?

What hotel are you staying at? I think you got a great deal on the airfare.

Haven't got a hotel yet. Maybe the Ala Moana, maybe some Ohana hotel.

That's cool. I think you'll find some good prices now since tourism is way down and so are the hotel occupancy. See ya at the tourney.
