Yeah, whatever. How do you know how he "says" it? You must have great ears to hear someone speak as they type.
"clicky-clicky, click click click." Why? Two reasons. Because someone has to, and because I can. -

Actually, I do have one comment that is both relevant to this post and isn't just whining about RL.
If we're gonna get rid of a holiday, Columbus day is unquestionably #1. This is a man who might have discovered North America, but he's hardly the hero American legend makes him out to be. First, everyone educated in his time knew the Earth was round. Second, had Columbus not discovered America, someone else would have in a very short time. Third, Columbus was very, very cruel to the Indians. He really did nothing deserving of a holiday, in my opinion. -

Array Columbus didn't discover america first. See random thoughts thread I want to be remembered when I'm dead. I want books written about me. I want songs sung about me. And then, hundreds of years from now, I want episodes of my life to be played out weekly at half past nine by some great heroic actor of the age.

He is also the first individual that left unquestionable evidence that he found North America. Like many other great moments in history, he did find North America by accident - bumped into it when he went off course on the way to INDIA and landed in the West Indies!! But alas, he did go back and report his findings and it did initiate the colonization!
There are two great things about the Columbus Day holiday. First, is that it is always a wonderful weekend for backpacking and hiking. The weather has turned, the leaves starting to color reds, the summer is over but the cold of winter hasn't set in. Second, is if you aren't going hiking this weekend, Columbus Day is the great holiday to spend downtown as it is generally the best of the feast celebrations in the Italian sections of most cities. Always a parade, music, dancing and great italian eats over the Columbus Day weekend.
I vote we keep this holiday! -

Array Why do we have both Memorial Day (formerly Decoration Day) and Veterans Day (formerly Armistice Day)? Do we really need two days to honor our veterans just so we can tell when summer starts and ends?
And what about Flag Day? Is that one really so necessary when Independence Day is right around the corner?
And does anyone really celebrate Columbus on Columbus Day? I'd rather remember the pioneers or the thinkers who made America than the guy who bumped into it by mistake on a trip financed by cash seized by the Inquisition.
And why isn't my birthday a national holiday? Am I not great? Do the people not love and worship me as is right and good? Just because you have the right, that doesn't mean it is right. -

MLK was a great man. He got shot for fighting peacefully, he fought for freedom of an oppressed people with no reward in sight. He dedicated his life to something he believed in which is, i'm sorry to say, more than you, Reverse Lunge, could ever do. Apparently you're in life just for the money. Way to live! If you're rich you're happy, right? wrong.
