Fencing in Taipei, Taiwan? Alright... New to the boards and this is my first post so hi everyone
Anyways I used to fence about two years ago in Oregon... I am now living in Taiwan for about 6 more months and I want to find a place to join here. I have searched on the internet and not found any places but I assume that a place as big as Taipei would have somewhere where I could take up the sport again. I would be willing to do anything (college club, local club, school organized... anyhting)
Anyone know where I could find info on fencing in the Taipei area? -

Array You need to get in contact with the Chinese Taipei Fencing Association:
No. 20, Chu Lun Street, Taipei, Taiwan
Tel: ++ 886 2 87723033
E-mail: fencing@gcn.net.tw
You could also try e-mailing: taipei.fencing@msahinet.net as they organise the Taipei open at the San Chong Stadium. Good luck. I hope you don't have to travel too far! -

Array You can get from the top of Taiwan to the bottom of Taiwan in about 4-6 hrs depending on the traffic. We're a small country. Heaven is where the police are British, the chefs Italian, the mechanics are German, the lovers are French, and its all organized by the Swiss. Hell is where the police are German, the chefs are British, the mechanics are French, the lovers are Swiss, and it's all organized by the Italians.
