I could have said Timonium, but who knows where that is?
On Sunday, February 13th, the Baltimore Fencing Center, located just north of the Baltimore Beltway, will host its annual event, the Choco Therapy Open.
The Choco Therapy has grown to become one of the Middle Atlantic's most popular events, with over 80 entrants in foil and epee last year. It is always a tough event, especially in epee, which drew 47 competitors last year, including at least 8 A-rated fencers.
The club has six electric strips, as well as showers and locker rooms, and is a five-minute drive from I-83.
As in past years, engraved medals will be awarded to the top eight fencers in each weapon, as well as the top E or U fencer. The top man and woman in each event will also receive a special award with a Valentine's Day theme, as will the second-place man and woman. Maybe even more people, if the chocolate holds out!
Registration for the Choco Therapy Open is a modest $10, payable at the door.
