[CFML] fencing=defensing


Dear All, and Bill Pirkle, I am one of those who reads
something and then a mere 25 years later can't
remember where he saw it, but I believe in
16th-century English there was the word "defensing"
which meant the use not only of the sword but the
other weapons used in the society in general, both
mounted and on foot. Does anyone else remember seeing
such a term? Ray Smith
