hi, new bee here hey everyone, thinking about fencing as a hobby. I think it's really cool though I haven't tried it yet. I read a book about it though
does any of you know of any clubs in New Jersey (Hackensack area)? -
If you want to fence, New Jersey is unquestionably one of the top states to be in. I don't know any specific clubs, but I'm probably the only one here... -

Array Hi, welcome to the sport and the forum!
Some US-person might be able to give you better advise, but this is what I found about fencing clubs in NJ ('button' saying "Fencing Clubs" in the uppermost right corner): http://www.fencing101.com/search/Clubs/USA/New_Jersey/
Have fun fencing!

does any of you know of any clubs in New Jersey (Hackensack area)? "New bee"? I think you meant to say "n00b 3//o4++y" or some such twaddle! ( Brace yourself, there's a lot of that gibberish around here. )
Anyway, welcome to the hive! -
cool thanks for the warm welcome.
I'm (or will be soon) a professional, that is, I might not find time to go to a club every day, or even every week.
I don't have any plans to compete in the Olympics, but I'd like to know how much commitment one needs to put into this sport in order to at least be able to bout without looking like an idiot.
how silly of me. there's an entire forum dedicated to fencing in NYC
I'll be living 20 minutes from the city
