Y10 & Y12 National Qualifying

Would someone "in the know" please clarify for me if the youth who are already on the RPS for Y10 and Y12 events are automatically qualified for Nationals. I had questioned the USFA a while ago about this and was told that they were, but I don't know if this has changed.

Yes, but only for the age group and weapon in which they have points.

That is correct. Here is the text from the Athletes Handbook (for Y12, but Y10 is the same):

- Fenced in one Regional Youth Circuit or one Super Youth Circuit or NAC Youth in 2004-2005 season in the age and weapon category (categories) in which athlete requests entry acceptance OR
- Be on the Youth 12 national point standings as of May 1, 2004
- Fencer must state on entry the competition (s) at which he or she fulfilled the requirement for either the NAC or the Summer Nationals. Failure to do so will be basis for rejection of entry.
