Array Salute Greetings from Western New York. Having recently discovered this forum, I thought I'd register and introduce myself. I have been fencing off and on for over 25 years - more off than on. I would take a couple of classes, then let it slide for a few years, then repeat. A year ago, when I lost my job and found myself with time on my hands, I decided to make fitness my number one priority, and fencing the cornerstone of my fitness program. I have been at it pretty steady (2-3 nights a week) since then. I recently took up epee and started entering tournaments. Not bad for a guy in his 50's. (Don't let ANYone tell you that they're too old for this sport!)
I am now employed again, but have committed to not only maintaining my fencing skills but enhancing and expanding them. I am still fencing at least 2 nights a week and loving it. I think I still have a few good years left and I'm going to make the most of them.

Array Welcome, parrythis, from the other side of the continent. Glad to have another adult, and an epeeist at that, on the forum. Watch out for the kids and the sabreurs...they're uncommonly opinionated. -
