Actually, prototoast and akaiyuki have already voted, but consider the 'being coached' options as 0hrs, up to 1hr, up to 2hrs, over 2hrs.

Oh well, akaiyuki, I did realise this before your reply.

There's also no option for more than 0 but less than 1 hour of lessons.

This poll is completely useless and poorly designed, and I suspect it has cooties as well.

cooties?

I revised it in my first post - up to 1 hr rather than 1hr.

Yes, cooties! All polls must be querulously criticised as flawed. It's a tradition.

That is, if you are being literal.

Otherwise, "cooties" are an imaginary, but completely disgusting infection that boys and girls under the age of about 11 or 12 get when they come into contact with members of the opposite sex--this problem evaporates with the onset of puberty.

To nit-pick (continuing the lice metaphor) your poll, what do you mean by "being coached?" Do you mean "taking a lesson," or do you mean doing footwork, calesthenics, etc., in a group under the supervision of a coach?

Or both?

Or having your coach shout "Quit futzing around and fence!" at you occasionally from across the room....

The poll skipped from four hours to six hours. I disagree with the premise of this poll blah blah blah.

I voted eight hours.

the part you didn't include is drills, I usually spend a segnificant amount of time on drills even though I no longer have access to a coach.
