Otherwise, "cooties" are an imaginary, but completely disgusting infection that boys and girls under the age of about 11 or 12 get when they come into contact with members of the opposite sex--this problem evaporates with the onset of puberty.

To nit-pick (continuing the lice metaphor) your poll, what do you mean by "being coached?" Do you mean "taking a lesson," or do you mean doing footwork, calesthenics, etc., in a group under the supervision of a coach?

the part you didn't include is drills, I usually spend a segnificant amount of time on drills even though I no longer have access to a coach.
