    Post clothing

does anyone have any good things to say about the post knickers and jackets at the fencing post? They seem to be good priced, but are they any good?

I may be biased ('cause I sell a lot of Post gear), but I find the stuff good...definitely as entry level (more comfortable and less thick than the Santgellis), and up to the nat level.

One thing I liked was watching Saul put a mask probe on an Uhlmann 350 jacket and have it pop right through, yet the Post jacket passed.

We have a couple of their sets of stretch gear at the club and I like it. It is lightweight, breathable and very easy to move in. The quality is as good or better than the other entry-level stuff, although the jackets are a bit thin. The stretch ones are made out of a slightly different stretch material than a lot of places use so they feel more like a comfy sweatshirt then a stiff nylon jacket. They also do the elastic at the cuffs of the jacket to keep your sleeve from riding/bunching up which I like a lot.

I do not care overly much for the pants, not because of any quality issues, but because I am a little self-conscious wearing them. They are a thin and form fitting design, which feels and moves very well, but is a bit um... revealing if they are a bit tight on you as mine are. I prefer not to announce to the would rather or not I prefer boxers or briefs!

Well since you ask, if I did decide to go commando and were very eager to get into the fight or had one of our more attractive fencers suiting up near me then yes, chances are you could get a good idea of my "religion". I'm going to go wash my brain now...

They are well made compared to other entry level equipment. The only complaint I have is that it is rather thin. BG for example uses nice, fat cotton which is much better for bruise protection. The fit and seams of the post jackets are better though in my opinion.

Hrm! And will you be at the Hangover Classic in Richmond this weekend? Maybe I should bring along an extra roll of film or three.

Better than the other cheap stuff, but paper thin. I will echo cowpaste's sentiments.
The solution to your problem is to fence another weapon.
