Thanks a lot. |

| 1. No.
2. You could, however, wear a pink colored stretch uniform so long as the body could be considered a "single light color".
3. Lemme guess-- lose a bet in some kind of drinking game with your fencing buddies?

| Can it be that DW has finally run out of serious fencing questions? I didn't think that'd ever happen! |

| boo: do you fancy joining me in a hunt round england for our friend dripping wet, so we can administer the good hard slap he needs to bring him to his senses.
he reminds me of a guy who i studied a-level chemistry with, who constantly annoyed the teacher with endless questions, but never really took it in and was consequently rubbish at it.
the best piece of advise i can ever give drippingwet is to stop worrying and just bloody well fence, try some stuff and see what happens.
and when it comes to pink lycra: no, not ever, for any reason. especially if you are going to hang around in the water cooler asking if anyone is a sailor... |

I have frequent, good 1:1 coaching, sparring through the week and a good competitive schedule. When you say to stop worrying and just bloody well fence, I'm not worrying and I do bloody well fence. Forums, books, videos et al are the auxiliary components that are available to a fencer.
If the questions I've asked make you think that I'm too concerned with stuff, be informed that a lot of the questions aren't extremely important to me. If this forum wasn't here, then I wouldn't be pulling my hair out, but it is here so I use it.
Anyway, what's wrong with asking about becoming a referee, or the advantages and disadvantages of this or that, or "I'm interested in Tauber, what can you tell me?" etc, etc? This is a forum after all. If I need to, then I can ask my coach things, but if it isn't very important (so would take up coaching time) or doesn't require practical work then I can just ask it here.
No hard feelings though.

a) he will be easy to spot (no hunting round England required...!)
b) someone will probably slap him before we can get to him
