| Colored Lame's Recently at competitions i have been going to i am starting to notice more and more people wearing colored foil lame's. I've seen red, blue and gold. Here's my question, does anyone know where i can get one of these? And can anyone explain the dynamics of a colored lame? Are they just the same as a regular lame only dyed? Please let me know. |

| I posted this very same topic just before Christmas, and Gilbert from FencePBT gave me a nice reply. I would suggest you check out their site, as Gil has given me unsurpassed customer service. |

| Dunno about PBT, but TFP offers the standard silver and the colored blue, red, gold, and green (or so they claim). I've not seen the green, but would loved to have gotten it. How about black?

| If they offer black, multitudes of little (and not so little) goth fencers will be ecstatic. tradionalists of course will be outraged.

| Black won't fly, except for maitre's, maestro's, meister's and masters. Seems to me that the more contrast you have for the target area the the better chance your opponent has of hitting on target. As for the green lame's, I have several. They're old copper ones!

| I have a blue Allstar lame - I like it very much, but they seem to wear out quickly (either that, or it is more noticeable when you get a wire break - since a dark blue area can be more clearly seen behind the broken, lighter coloured wires).

| We currently carry red and blue non washable lames and Ice Blue INOX washable lames. We have not had time to list them on our site but if you do a keyword search at http://www.fencePBT.com on either the word red or blue you can pull them up manually to see a photo/price etc... We will be at the South Bend, NAC this weekend and will have samples in our booth. The ICE blue lame somewhat changes color depending on how the light hits it due to its INOX threading. It sort of has an iridescent look to it.

| I bought my beautiful girlfriend an Ice Blue Inox, and it really is beautiful! Had the wrong size at first, but exchanging it was no problem at all. FencePBT was really good about it. |
