| I resolve not to make resolutions.
That said...I prefer to call them goals. I have a set goal, & I work hard to meet it. This year's goals of making more money than last year, & finishing the rewrite of my novel, have been completed. Next year's? To make more money than this year, & to see the novel republished. More goals to come, I'm sure.

2. Become the best fencer in the world.
3. Get into graduate school and do well.

| 1. Not be so damn stubborn and argumentative
2. Do the splits (It's on my resolution list every year...it has been for the past, oh, 10 years)
3. Get into a regular exercize program and become more fit and toned.
4. Find a boyfriend. A good one. None of those cocky pooheads who think they're all that (which I always seem to fall for. Damn) So I resolve to not fall for one of those and fall for a genuinely good one instead.
5. Save money. Don't spend it. (yeah...right...)

And you are more cynical than usual.
I resolve to quit making excuses about training based on my rapidly approaching sixth decade (well, three more years), and to train like an athlete--age is no excuse.

MR | Wow, that's old...I'm only...uhm, let's see...57. Ouch.
Okay, I will:
Train harder in fencing.
Practice my Spanish more.
Finish my reports.
Spend more quality time with my wife.
Clean up the files on my hard drive.
Stop reading posts by immature and cynical people (better for my blood
pressure) |

| Hmm, I guess my goals for this new year would be:
1 - To not be so down on myself all the time
2 - Be more willign to accept compliments w/o the cynicism
3 - Be a bit more outgoing
4 - Get into better shape
5 - Break less than 5 blades (see ashamed of myself post)
6 - The significant other quest ensues, lol
7 - Be happy with all that I am
8 - Get more on-the-ball with my studies (still in the A-B+ range but still lol)
9 - Get confidence
and
10 - Be happy and to give myself a chance as well as treat myself at least 1/2 as nice as I treat others
Here's to a new year!!! |

| I don't generally make resolutions for one reason or another. But last year I did make one. Since so many resolutions fail so quickly and so ingloriously, I decided to make my resolution fail-sure and save myself the guilt of feeling bad when it fell apart: I resolved to become a chain smoker. And yes, I did fail. I never could get the darned chain to stay lit..... |

| Start watching what I eat. Even though I'm slim, I put alot of crap and junk food into my body, cheetos, cake, chocolate, excessive dairy.... I need to trim down on that. I need to eat more fruit, veggies and pasta, and drink more water, so I can feel sharper. I cant let my constant junk food eating become a habit, because when my metabolism slows down, I want to be ready.

| Well, my resolution/goal is to get my dad to stop smoking. It is not an easy one to accomplish, I know, I've been trying to do this for about 3 years now. I give him pamphlets, tell him about what happens to you, and even have chased him around the house to try and keep him away from the door so he can't go outside and smoke (always fails ) But, it is a new year, so, that means more trys to get it right ^_^.
