When are FIE blades required in USFA?

I searched through the board and could not find a topic with an answer to this question: In USFA competitions, when are FIE approved blades required? I know that competing outside the USFA, it is required. But, do you need a weapon with a FIE blade to compete in say, an NAC or the nationals? I know local tournaments don't require them. Thank you.

FIE equipment is not required for USFA tournaments.

True....you can compete in tourneys in the US with entry-level gear, so long as it meets the basic safety checks.

FIE stuff is onoly required at an FIE tourney like a world cup.
Need fencing equipment? See me at H.O.M. Fencing Supply

Going to your first tournament? Read "Choose yer weapon, Laddie (or: Dude, where's my foil?)"
