| Depends in part what gender you are, what level you 're interested in playing at, and what you're looking for from a club.

| Just as further notes, the four places that immediately come to mind as having some of the best sabre fencers in the country are (in no particular order):
Fencer's Club/Westbrook Foundation (New York City)
Oregon Fencing Alliance (Portland)
Nellya (Atlanta)
Fencing Alliance of Ohio/OSU (Columbus)
There are a number of other clubs with collections of very good fencers and coach(es). Each of the above four are home to at least 1 US Olympian from the Athens games.

| If you are female: OFA in Oregon would be a good choice.
They have the Olympic Gold Medalist and the Cadet World Champion.
The top three Junior Women on the FIE point list (World Cup not Official).
Two out of three of the women on the Cadet Team are from OFA too, (Plus Dagmara Wozniak from Fencers club)
Ed Korfante and Adam Scarbonkiavich are great coaches and excellent in the all around excellent people department.
Prices are better than at the FC and there is lots of parking..... http://oregonfencing.org/
Fencers Club has very good coaching, I cannot rate them in the human being department, and some very excellent sabre fencers of both sexes.
There is also Mr. Ma's Club in New Jersey. He has some top notch fencers coming up and is a great coach and human being. http://www.fasj.com/
Another recommended club in Boston (also excellent people.) http://www.prisedefer.com/
If you get totally addicted to fencing you want to be at a place that seems happy to have you and treats you in a thoughtful kind manner.

| OFA has many of their top sabers away at college, so if you go there you won't be training with them. New York has the best in terms of those you might wish to train with, male and female. |

| Should be Westbrook Foundation/NYFC: on any given saber night, you've got upwards of 2/3rds of the US National Team/Athens team, and deep pool of other top guys like Isayanko (sp?) from St. John's and other junior guys coming up (women too). Also, you've got Westbrook himself, Mormando and Yuri Gelman coaching/bouting.
Should be saber heaven....

| Well if you want to fence in the boston area, Prise de Fer is good in foil (see Henry Kenard). Also, Boston Fencing Club has a good foil program (Chan, and Woodhouse).

How often is Greg ChanG at BFC?
For that matter, now that he's in school (granted still in the area (Harvard)) how often is Enoch at BFC? That said, BFC has a number of strong foilists at BFC. Not compared to FC in NYC, but decent.

| I think the point kevin was making, at least about Prise, is that it is a good place to train as a foilist. Not that you would get to fence against henry(tho he was there monday, and at least once last week), but that Henry was produced as a fencer there.
It's the coaching angle.

| In Columbus, Ohio (Ohio State University, Fencing Alliance of Ohio) there is a number of very high level sabre fencers both men and women. There is Jason Rogers from the 2004 US Olympic team, for one, and we have three mens sabre fencers that are in the top ten of the nation (Mike Momzeltize and Adam Crompton). In womens sabre we have olympian Louise Bond-Williams, Amelia Gaillard a many time national team member, and Siobhan Byrne who took silver in the european championships.
The coach Vladimir Nazlymov is also top-notch. He was head coach of the Soviet Union national mens sabre team, a many time world champion, and two time olympic medalist.
