Posting Equipment Reviews

In the armory section there are a lot of threads that detail people's experiences and recommendations of various fencing equipment. Those types of discussions are what got me to create the Reviews section of the site.

We're sitting at just under 500 product reviews and I want to get more in there. There are a lot of fencers here (we had over 600 people on here at once a couple of weeks ago), all of whom have some experience - good or bad - with equipment.

So, what will get you to post more product reviews? What is wrong with the current set up? I figure that if more people will post reviews, then the reviews section becomes an even better resource for the beginner when they want to figure out which type of X to buy.

Please post here your ideas or thoughts as to what would get you to post more reviews. Is it:
  • Better organization - not sure how to find the products I want to review
  • Want some sort of incentive
  • Don't have my product/item in there
  • other

Thanks,
Craig

One other thing - Who wants a job to go out and catalog all of the products that should be in the reviews section? Someone (or several people) who knows their way around keying information into a spreadsheet template who has several hours of free time to pull the products into a file that I can upload to the reviews database.

Cheers,
Craig
