    Insomniacs

    Anyone here an insomniac?
I act like one but they say I'm not but right now I'm sitting at my comp refusing to go to bed with nothing better to do than start a thread about how I'm not going to bed.

It's 1 in the morning here. Does that count?

Having insomnia is like being locked in a room without windows or doors, shaped like a circle, painted all white, with nothing to do and no way to escape.

I've heard of people who are forced to stay up untill 3 AM or whatever daily....I'm not in that situation. I feel really sorry for those of you who are.

I'm a night owl, but I'm no insomniac.
The solution to your problem is to fence another weapon.

insomnia is a bad clinical condition...

Though not insomniatic, i dont sleep much (4-5 hrs, when not on holiday), and stay up fairly late with regularity. Right now I'm in California, and I'm staying up horribly late for no reason, and this will not go well when i get back home to Carolina. Blasted earth/distance/rotation/whatnot.

I'm not a clinical insomniac. Just a night owl.

when i'm on my regular schedule, i can't go to bed before 2am usually.

when my schedule's way out of line (like it is now) i've been known to do stuff like sleep straight through the day, or sleep from 10pm-2am or some other random stuff.

i generally consider myself a mild insomniac, though, because usually i just can't go to sleep until pretty early, no matter how much sleep i may have had the night before or what i've been doing.

I'm insoniac at the moment. It's 3.30 in the morning here and I can't sleep. In addition to that I have to get up for work in about...let's see...2,5 hours...

I don't know if I call myself an insomniac, but I just can't get myself to go to bed. I just keep on telling myself I need to do something, when I honestly know I don't. And I pay for it during the day.

On a related note, the Robbin Williams film "Insomnia" that came out quite a long time ago now was running a competition. The end...

Seriously though, the competition was to "Win Insomnia," I don't think they got the wording right.

Oh and I'm not an Insomniac, I just sleep for 3 hours a day, drink coffee & coke until 7am then take speed - when I sleep is when "they" come for me!

    NO! MUST NOT SLEEP!
I'm so cool; put me in a fridge and it gets colder!
I'm Australian and that makes me MANLY!

I like how most of the people who have written something in this thread are doing it at such late hours. lol

I can usually fall asleep by 1 AM (annoying, since I go to bed between 11:30 and 12), but my main problem is that I can't force myself to bed, no matter what time I'm supposed to get up, how tired I am, or whether I'm even having fun doing whatever's keeping me up. So I guess I'm just a night owl.

Messageboards were made for insomniacs...every time I look at one, half the posts were at 3 AM.

Every once in a while I fall out of my regular sleep pattern. When it gets very bad, I'll skip a night's sleep (I try to do this on a weekend), and then the next night, I'm good and ready for bed.
