| Fencing on TV I got in to work this morning and a coworker mentioned that he saw some fencing late last night on TV. He wasn't able to specify any more than that, but it was on around midnight Sunday night. It could have been a replay of the olympic footage, although he did ask questions about the reels and the footage shown during the olympics was wireless. Anyone else see this? He thought it as on Fox Sports, but he wasn't sure. Just curious to find what was shown.
thanks,

| What's his zip code? Maybe we can search some TV listings online. |

Fencer26 | Not entirely true...I have footage of the foil...it was wired. Only sabre was wireless.
Ask him if it was part of a regular TV show... |

| I tried looking at tv listings but was not able to find it. I think it may have just been a segment on fox sports world or something similar. As for the wireless aspect, I know only sabre was wireless, however as far as I know, that was the only weapon shown on tv during the olympics. I was just wondering if anyone else saw it. This was in NYC. |

| Speaking of the Olympics, I hope I'm not opening a can of worms here but those new masks with the lexan cutouts...
Did they figure some way to make the clear parts conductive or did they just cut a large chunk of target off the mask in the name of "spectator appeal?"

| Looking at the FSNY schedule it would appear it was part of a program called Gillette World Sport 04 05. Not sure what fencing it was the program will be shown again friday at 3pm in NYC not sure if it is the same program or a different edition. Of course in prime time that night on FSNY is the eagerly anticipated World championships of rock paper scissors. |

Attack beats counter-attack, counter-attack beats holding, holding beats parry, parry beats attack, attack beats counter-attack.
So there's a fourth instrument, but the basic premise is good ol' rock, paper, scissors. |

Fencer26 | The more I tell people that I fence, the more people tell me that I JUUUUUUUUUUUUUST missed fencing on TV. I've grown numb to it, now.
Although from time to time, I flip through the channels, just on that off chance... |
